Congratulations to the U13 Ice Breakers. They were finalists in the Charlotte Adidas Cup tournament August 23rd and 24th. Six of their players are new to the team. This was a big accomplishment for the U13 team!
When you think of soccer, you immediately think of Steve Hursey. It is wonderful having Steve coach the Ice Breakers. He is very dedicated to the game and the children. Steve and his wife are
the proud parents of 3 beautiful girls who also enjoy the game of soccer. He coached four years of recreational soccer in Swansea prior to coaching classic soccer. During his first year of classics,
his team achieved 2nd place in the Charleston Select, 3rd place in the Aiken Cup and 3rd place in the Piggly Wiggly Tournament.
That is an outstanding record for a first year classic team. Steve continues to play soccer for his church league on Sunday afternoons. You can always find him at the Swansea soccer field on Friday nights where he invites everyone to participate.
